Surely A Gift From God….

When someone speaks those words to you or to another it is usually a given that whatever it has to do with is a talent that is so on point that their calling to do it is undeniable. At least that’s how I see it anyway. I mean after all, God wouldn’t entrust anyone with anything if He didn’t believe they would take care of and nurture, right? It makes me think if the bible passage of the man who buried his gifts in the sand and the Lord was very disappointed.

Okay so you’re probably wondering where I’m going with this right? Well I woke up today to this message on my fanpage on Facebook:

“Your book “The Lies That Bind” had my heart pounding. God sure gave you a talent.”

The two words that stood out in that were “God” and “talent”. I take what I do very seriously and I work very hard to use my gift to the ability that God has given me. So to see that was almost a confirmation to me that I am doing the right thing, not just by my readers but by God as well. Now there have been times I’ve wanted to bury my gift in the sand, mainly out of my own fears but each time I’ve gotten that urge I would see a review or get a message similar to that and realize that I couldn’t because it would go against who I was and worst still it would go against His will for me.

Now don’t get me wrong. I am not someone you will find in the front pew EVERY single Sunday thumping my Bible and I don’t know the Bible inside and out like I would. But I do know that I don’t have to be that person to have a relationship with Him or for him to guide me and to put people in my path to guide me. I am very thankful for the gift of discernment that He has given me to know the difference between a religion and a relationship with Him.

I’m saying all this to say: THANK YOU. To everyone that has supported me and continues to support me because you keep me going and that is the truth. Just know that I am forever a work in progress to give you the best work that He has put in me because I would give HIM nothing but the best.

So until next time!
